How to integrate your PMS to import listingsImport

Connecting your Property Management System imports your existing listings automatically, so you don't have to add them by hand. Have your PMS Client ID and Client Secret ready before you start.

  1. Navigate to the Settings tab.
  2. Click on Integrations.
  3. Select your PMS. If it isn't listed, you can request a new PMS connection.
  4. Enter your PMS Client ID and Client Secret.
  5. Click Connect.

Once your PMS is connected, import and map your listings:

  1. Once the PMS shows a green Connected status, click Import Properties.
  2. Once your properties have imported, click Map Listings to match them to your LekkerGuest properties.
Not sure if your PMS is supported? Email hello@lekkerguest.com and we'll confirm.
How to import bookingsImport

Once your listings are mapped, you can pull their bookings straight into LekkerGuest.

  1. Once you've mapped your listing, it will show a green Mapped status.
  2. Click on Import Bookings.
  3. Select or deselect the relevant bookings you want to pull through.
  4. Click Confirm Import.
New bookings sync automatically going forward, so you only import manually to backfill older stays.
How to add a property manuallySetup

If you're not using a PMS, or would just like to add properties by hand, it can be done in a matter of minutes.

  1. Click on the Properties tab on the dashboard.
  2. Click Add Property.
  3. Upload at least one property photo.
  4. Enter the property details, name, address, city, and so on.
  5. Choose your damage protection options. Remember, this is what guests will be able to select, we suggest offering both a security deposit and a damage waiver.
  6. Set your security deposit hold amount and your damage waiver cover amount.
  7. The guest pays the damage waiver fee, this is auto-calculated from your cover amount (8%).
  8. Assign communication to your team.
  9. Paste your direct booking link so guests can book again straight from their portal.
  10. Add your check-in details, and toggle these to auto-fire once damage protection has processed successfully.
You can set protection differently for each property, deposit on one, waiver on another.
How to add a booking manuallySetup

Guest Journey & Pre-arrival

How to create pre-arrival profiles for mandatory forms & infoPre-arrival

Pre-arrival profiles let you decide exactly what each guest completes before they get the keys, mandatory forms, house rules, and any info you want them to have.

  1. Go to Settings → Pre-arrival Profiles and click Create Profile.
  2. Name the profile (e.g. "Beach House, standard check-in").
  3. Upload any estate access forms or PDF forms you may require the guest to complete.
  4. Add any custom forms or fields (e.g. arrival time, number of guests, vehicle details) and mark them mandatory if needed.
  5. Save and assign the profile to one or more properties.
Guests can't complete check-in until every mandatory item is done, so nothing is left outstanding that may affect guest access on check-in day.
The guest journey, explainedOverview

Here's exactly what your guest experiences from the moment they book. It's simple, guided, and does the heavy lifting for you, no awkward conversations needed.

Once a booking is confirmed, the guest receives an email from LekkerGuest with a verification link. One click takes them to create their guest profile, which lays everything out as three easy steps:

  1. ID verification. The guest confirms who they are in a few seconds. This is the accountability piece, built in from the very start.
  2. Pre-arrival forms & documents. They review anything you've shared (house rules, check-in details, welcome info) as a PDF, and sign off on the LekkerGuest terms and conditions.
  3. Damage protection. The guest chooses their protection option, they can tap the "i" info icon anytime for a quick explanation, adds their card, and hits Finish. That's them fully set up.

On your side, your dashboard shows exactly where each guest is: whether their documents are signed and whether damage protection is in place, no chasing required.

Damage protection is processed automatically at 9am the day before check-in, so by the time your guest walks in, everything is sorted.

Claims & Reviews

Understanding the Bookings Tab, is protection successful or not?Bookings

The Bookings tab is your single dashboard for the protection status of every stay. Each booking shows a colour-coded status so you can tell at a glance whether damage protection (DP) is in place. Here's what each one means:

Protection status key
Green — ProtectedDamage protection was processed successfully, either the damage waiver or the security deposit. You're fully covered for this stay.
Amber — CapturedThe guest's card and details are captured and ready, but DP hasn't been processed yet. This is normal more than a day before arrival, it processes automatically at 9am the day before check-in.
Amber — Docs signed, DP pendingThe guest has signed their documents but hasn't completed the damage protection step yet, so protection isn't in place.
Grey — UnverifiedThe guest hasn't started their pre-arrival steps yet. Nothing is verified or in place.
Red — AbandonedThe process failed or the guest dropped off partway through. Open the booking to see what's outstanding and give them a nudge.

Click any booking to see the full breakdown: verification status, whether documents are signed, and the protection type and amount.

Damage protection is processed automatically at 9am the day before check-in. So a booking sitting on amber "Captured" isn't a problem, it simply hasn't reached its processing time yet.
How to process a claimClaims

If something goes wrong, you lodge an itemised claim against the protection already in place, no loss-adjuster limbo.

  1. Open the relevant booking in the Bookings tab and click Lodge a Claim.
  2. Add each item of damage or loss with a short description and the amount.
  3. Upload photos as evidence for each item.
  4. Submit the claim. The guest gets a fair 72-hour window to respond.
  5. Once resolved, funds are captured from the protection in place and paid out to your bank account, in days, not months.
Be specific and add clear photos, a well-itemised claim resolves faster and more fairly for everyone.
How to track claimsClaims

Every claim you lodge is tracked in one place so you always know where it stands.

  1. Go to the Claims tab in your dashboard.
  2. Each claim shows its status: Submitted, Awaiting guest response (within the 72-hour window), Under review, Settled, or Paid out.
  3. Click a claim to see the itemised details, evidence, guest responses, and payout timeline.
  4. You'll be notified as the status changes, so there's nothing to chase.
How to review a guestReviews

The host-only review system builds the behavioural track record booking platforms never show you, and feeds into the guest's LekkerGuest Score.

  1. After check-out, open the booking and click Review Guest.
  2. Rate how the guest treated your property and how they communicated.
  3. Add honest notes for other hosts, was the place left as it was found?
  4. Submit. Your review contributes to the guest's LekkerGuest Score, which follows them to their next stay.
A lekker guest is respectful, communicative, and leaves the place like they found it. Recognising them rewards them with smoother check-ins, and deterrence works better than any claim ever will.
